Bridgeport – Boca Oyster Bar Waterfront, fresh oysters, high energy. One of the better dining surprises in the county.
Darien – L'Oustau Bistro Classic French sensibility without being stuffy about it. Refined but relaxed.
Easton – Greiser's Coffee & Market Farm town chic done right. Coffee, pastries, good vibes. A beloved spot that locals protect fiercely.
Fairfield – The Sinclair Stylish modern brasserie. The kind of place that works for a weekday lunch or a leisurely weekend brunch.
Greenwich – Moli Trending, sophisticated, hard to get a table. Book ahead.
New Canaan – Rosie Chic but actually welcoming. Great for a long, slow brunch with people you like talking to.
Norwalk SoNo – The Spread Industrial-chic in South Norwalk with a creative menu and cocktails that earn their reputation.
Stamford – The Wheel Energetic and hip. The most buzzy option in the city right now.
Stratford – Outriggers Waterfront dining, fresh seafood, sunset views if you time it right. Very Fairfield County summer.
Trumbull – Prime One Eleven An upscale steakhouse that actually delivers. Good for a celebratory lunch.
Westport – Terrain Garden Cafe Inside a greenhouse. Seasonal, beautiful, completely unlike anywhere else on this list.
Wilton – The Schoolhouse A converted historic schoolhouse doing genuine farm-to-table. Intimate and really good.
