How Fairfield County Towns Are Marking the Nation's 250th Anniversary – Parades, Exhibitions, Walking Tours, and More
This year marks 250 years since the founding of the United States, and towns across Fairfield County are doing something genuinely special to honor it. This isn't just flag-waving. There are historical exhibitions, walking tours of sites tied to the Revolution, lectures, parades, and community celebrations scattered across the county all June long.

America 250 Preview Party and Fourth Fest Reveal – Wednesday June 17 at 6PM at the Fairfield Museum Commons. A kickoff event for the summer-long commemoration.

Tavern Culture Series: Plates, Pints, and Patriots – Thursday June 4 at 7PM at the Keeler Tavern Garden House. History told through food and drink. A good one.

America 250 and Wilton 300 Dual-Anniversary Exhibition – Open Tuesday through Saturday in June, 10AM to 4PM at the Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Rd. Two milestones in one exhibition.

Minute Men and Masters: The Compo Beach Story – A daily archive and walking exhibition running all month at the Westport Museum for History and Culture. Traces the Revolutionary history of one of Westport's most iconic spots.
